A new trailer for the Disney+/Hulu series, Welcome to Chippendales, sees Emmy winner Murray Bartlett and Kumail Nanjiani going to war against the backdrop of a male stripper empire.

The series will follow the creation of the infamous male stripping troupe, The Chippendales, and the drama between the owner Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee (Nanjiani), and choreographer Nick De Noia (Bartlett)

In the trailer we see Banerjee rejecting a job as a general manager in favour of new dreams inspired by lifestyles sold over the TV.

“I’m going to start my own business – a strip club for women,” he says early on.

Quickly we’re introduced to De Noia, who tells Banerjee, “You need a choreographer, and I do enjoy a challenge.”

We also see the introduction of one of the Chippendales’ most famous outfits the sleeve cuffs and bow-tied collars.

And just as things seem to be going well things take a turn as tension grows between Banerjee and De Noia, especially when the latter makes a TV appearance claiming to be “Mr. Chippendales.”

“You and me stick together, or we go to war,” threatens De Noia as things appear to get increasingly sticky between the two sides.

It culminates with Banerjee saying, “I’m going to burn this place to the ground.”

“You’re a bad man Mr. Banerjee,” by Quentin Plair’s character, Otis. “You ain’t see nothing yet,” replies Banerjee.

Welcome to Chippendales, which also stars Annaleigh Ashford, Juliette Lewis, and Andrew Rannells is set to debut on Disney+ on 11 January.
