Actor and former Attitude cover star Miguel Ángel Silvestre steps into the spotlight (topless) as the new face of the Armani Beauty’s Acqua Di Gio fragrance, sharing a behind the scenes look into the new dripping wet advert.
The star is best known for his breakout role on the Netflix series Sense 8 from 2015, where he portrayed Lito Rodriguez, a closeted action star navigating fame and identity in Mexico City alongside his boyfriend Hernando (Alfonso Herrera).
The Spanish heartthrob did not stop there, landing roles in season three of Netflix’s Narcos, season five of the global hit Money Heist, as well as leading parts in Max’s horror thriller 30 Coins and the Paramount+ Spanish-language mystery series The Envoys.
Now taking to modelling, the actor can be seen in just a pair of white boxer briefs in the new Armani campaign, smiling playfully at the camera and stretching his pecs, before diving off a yacht into the ocean (lucky fish).
After showing off his athleticism on the wakeboard, the star appears in a sheer white linen shirt, the sunlight shining though to reveal the silhouette of his chiseled six-pack.
“Will you join me”
Drenched in the fragrance, which dripped from his neck down to his v-line, Silvestre returned in his tighty whities, walking toward the camera before flashing a smile and strolling out of frame as the video ended.
He captioned the video: “Will you join me in the making off of Acqua Di Giò Profondo Eau De Toilette?”
In an interview with Attitude back in 2024, the star revealed he would love to see a revival of the series that catapulted him to fame, Sense8.
“I think about that many times. Hopefully one day, we’ll see,” he added. “It would be so nice if we can gather all together again.”
The actor added that the show, which resonated deeply with the LGBTQ+ community and earned praise from queer actors, “was very special for the audience.”
Silvestre appeared on the cover of Attitude Magazine alongside singer Adam Lambert in 2018, where the heterosexual actor opened up about what his breakout role taught him about the beauty of embracing his sexuality (“you just have to let yourself go and trust in it”), and why he is not ashamed if people assume he is gay in real life.
“I’ve never faced anybody asking me, but I don’t care, they can ask me if they want — I don’t hide anything about who I am,” he told us. “I should say that I honour the character and I feel proud of him, and I will do whatever it takes to play it. So, it is flattering if people think that I am gay, because I play [the role] with love and I don’t try to be shady when I’m playing it.”
