With Heartstopper Forever fast approaching its release date, Netflix has revealed nine behind-the-scenes images, giving fans an inside look at the Heartstopper final film.
Heartstopper Forever will mark the final chapter of the beloved coming-of-age queer teen drama, arriving 17 July exclusively on Netflix.
The last instalment will see fan-favourite characters return to screens, as several of the leading actors are set to reprise their roles.
Protagonists Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their roles as boyfriend’s Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring first appearing on our screens in 2022.

In the new photos, Elle and Tao seem to still be very much in love, looking deeply into one another’s eyes.
Another shows Charlie with his sister Tori, who fans presume will act as a support system for him through his eating disorder viewers saw in season 3.
Other images show Darcy and Tara together, single shots of Nick, Charlie and Isaac, as well as a photo of the leading pair holding each other at a party.
A group shot of the main cast was also featured, with Locke and Connor absent, with the rest of the actors dressed in black and smiling.

In April 2025, Netflix confirmed the story would conclude with a feature-length finale rather than a fourth season.
Filming concluded late July 2025, with Heartstopper Forever picking up from season 3 (2024), exploring Nick heading to university while Charlie continues to grow at Truham Grammar School.
Heartstopper author Alice Oseman, who adapted her book series for the screen, described the film to Tudum as: “an exploration of time, memory, love, pain, the changing of the seasons, endings and beginnings, and the core element of Heartstopper: the ordinary magic of our everyday lives.”

On Nick and Joe’s relationship, the series creator drew attention to real-life complexities of young relationships going through change.
“At 18 and 17, Nick and Charlie are hurtling towards their adult lives. Many teenage relationships don’t survive that pivotal moment of change,” said Oseman. “Are Nick and Charlie a forever love? If they are, why?”
She said the film will be an “emotional send-off” as well as a celebration of “what Heartstopper means to people.”
Before the final screen adaptation drops, the author’s book, Heartstopper Volume 6, will be published on 2 July 2026, marking the final instalment of the beloved queer coming-of-age love story.
