Jonathan Bailey voices Dracula in audio version of Bram Stoker’s vampire book
Bailey joins the likes of Aimee Lou Wood and more, coming together to bring the English-language version to life

Jonathan Bailey has been announced as the voice of Dracula in the audio adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic vampire novel.
The adaptation will be available to listen to in seven different languages upon its release via Audible, with the English-language version scheduled for 1 October 2026.
Bailey joins a star-studded cast of voices coming together to bring the English-language version to life.
Bailey voices Dracula alongside Ella Purnell as Mina
Bailey will voice Dracula, with Ella Purnell as Mina, Aimee Lou Wood as Lucy, Louis Partridge as Jonathan, David Jonsson as Dr Seward, Lesley Manville as Mrs Westenra and Maggie Gyllenhaal as Professor Van Helsing.
The story focuses on Mina Murray’s perspective. After her fiancé disappears in Transylvania, Mina investigates a series of mysterious events through letters, diary entries and testimonies. She discovers that Dracula is not only hunting those around her but may also be targeting her mind.
The adaptation shifts the focus towards a psychological battle between Mina and Dracula. Aurelie de Troyer, head of Audible content, International, said in a news release: “This is what Audible does best: crafting immersive audio experiences that transport listeners into the heart of the story.

She also welcomed the international stars who will voice Dracula and Mina in the different language versions, including Omar Sy and Deva Cassel (French), Riccardo Scamarcio and Benedetta Porcaroli (Italian), and Matthias Schweighöfer and Jeanne Goursaud (German).
“With director Mary Lambert at the helm and a haunting score by Ilan Eshkeri, we’re bringing this ambitious production to life just in time for Halloween,” said Troyer.
Dracula marks Lambert’s audiobook directing debut. Having previously worked on the 1980s hit horror film Pet Sematary and the early 2000s Urban Legends: Bloody Mary, her upcoming work it set to be a scream!
When is Dracula on Audible coming out?
Dracula will be released via Audible on 1 October in English, French, Italian, Castilian Spanish and LATAM Spanish. The German version will be available to listen to from 9 February 2027, while the Brazilian Portuguese adaptation will follow later that year.
