Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams once starred in a short film called Dogging where he wore a collar and did ALL the role play

Barking like a dog, shoving his face into peanut butter and being bathed by his owner, what can't Williams do?

Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams once appeared in a short film titled Dogging, where he put his acting skills to the test by appearing on all fours wearing only a dog collar and his underwear.

The official film synopsis reads: “A Swedish journalist stumbles across a subculture of people pretending to be dogs in exchange for cash and free rent.”

From barking like a dog and shoving his face into peanut butter to being bathed by his owner, Williams takes “dogging” to a whole new level in his character’s attempt to earn a living as a human dog.

“Hudson’s digital footprint goes crazy” – one fan commented under Hudson Williams appearing as a dog

The five-minute short film has since been uncovered by Heated Rivalry fans: the gay romance hockey series currently taking the world by storm, starring Williams alongside his on-screen love interest, Connor Storrie.

Viewers were quick to recognise the actor, taking to the comments to joke about Williams’ unusual acting credit.

“Hudson’s digital footprint goes crazy,” one user wrote. “In all seriousness, Hudson did such good acting as a dog,” another fan commented.

“I guess I missed this episode of Heated Rivalry” – one fan joked under the Dogging short film

“I guess I missed this episode of Heated Rivalry. Is this why Shane is so nervous for the world to learn his secret?” another joked.

Williams has appeared in several skits and short films both before and after Heated Rivalry. One such project, released earlier this year, was Hold Your Back, which explores a deeply passionate break-up between two men.

Since the release of Heated Rivalry on Crave and HBO Max in November 2025, the two stars have risen to international prominence – most recently presenting the award for Best Supporting Female Actor at the Golden Globe Awards yesterday (11 January).

Over the weekend (10 January), the series arrived in the UK, with screening parties held across the country. All six episodes are now available to stream on NOW TV and Sky, where the show has landed at number one on NOW.
