Heated Rivalry season 2 announces even more cast additions

Crave has announced the latest actors joining the cast of Heated Rivalry Season 2.

The new additions include Kevin Zegers as Coach Brandon Wiebe, Paul Gross as Commissioner Roger Crowell, and Milla Jovovich as Dr Galina Molchalina.

The new cast members will join returning leading stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie, who will reprise their roles as Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov in the gay hockey romance series.

Brandon Wiebe is a former NHL player who later became the head coach of the Ottawa Centaurs, captained by Ilya. Based on Rachel Reid’s The Long Game, he is openly bisexual and becomes an important source of support for Ilya after he is outed.

Roger Crowell is the Commissioner of the NHL and a major antagonist in Reid’s Game Changers series. He represents the league’s resistance to change, attempting to suppress players’ activism and discourage LGBTQ+ players such as Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander from coming out publicly.

Galina Molchalina is a Russian-born, Russian-speaking therapist based in Ottawa who becomes Ilya’s psychologist as he struggles with his mental health. In The Long Game, she helps him work through his family trauma, relationship struggles and depression.

Returning cast of Heated Rivalry season 2

Also returning for the second season are François Arnaud as Scott, Robbie G.K. as Kip, Sophie Nélisse as Rose, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova as Svetlana, Callan Potter as Hayden, Benjamin Roy as JJ, Kamilla Kowal as Hayden’s wife, Jackie, and Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh as Shane’s parents.

Newcomers Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi have been revealed to play Ryan Price and Fabian Salah from Rachel Reid’s Tough Guy.

Emily Hampshire, Edvin Ryding, Robert Naylor, Sabrina Jalees and Priyanka have also been added to the Heated Rivalry Season 2 cast, alongside Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie.
