Zayn unveils album artwork, performs new track ‘It’s You’ live on Jimmy Fallon

By Will Stroude

Fresh off making US chart history with debut single ‘PILLOWTALK’, Zayn Malik appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night (Feb 17) to unveil the artwork for his upcoming debut solo album and perform new track ‘It’s You’ for the first time.

The 22-year-old will release Mind of Mine on March 25, exactly one year after he sensationally quit One Direction, and the newly-released cover art depicts the former boybander as a child, but sporting his signature sleeve tattoos.

Zayn’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon marked first time he’s performed live as a solo artist, and his rendition of brooding ballad ‘It’s You’ was a typically moody affair: The track is rumoured to be about the break-down of his relationship with Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards.

‘PILLOWTALK’, meanwhile, is still riding high in charts around the world, after hitting the top spot in a colossal 68 countries.
