You can now buy yourself a clip-on man bun

By Micah Sulit

Good news for men who’ve been dreaming of rocking this year’s biggest hair trend, but can’t be arsed with the hassles of having long hair: Groupon is now selling clip-on man buns, and they’re (apparently) a steal at $9.99, down from $65.34.

Nope, this isn’t a joke.

Groupon is marketing these neatly combed domes of artificial hair to man bun fans who might find themselves the object of ridicule at machismo-dominated places like motorcycle gangs and sports bars (again, we’re not making this up).

Groupon says: “This attachable—and, equally important, detachable—man bun lets you blend in with your surroundings, putting it on when you smell fair-trade coffee or hear a banjo, and taking it off when someone utters the word bro.”

The instructions for putting on the fake buns come with a generous portion of hipster snark:
1. Comb your hair back toward the crown of your head, in a similar motion to lacquering a reclaimed-wood coffee table
2. Attach the man bun to your natural hair the way the lay public attached itself to Arcade Fire
3. Use bobby pins to secure the man bun, decide bobby pins are too mainstream, use antique paper clips instead.

Guys, please waste your hard-earned money on something else.
