Years & Years release infectious break-up bop ‘If You’re Over Me’
Olly Alexander and co. just served up one of the songs of the summer.

Years & Years have served up another track from their forthcoming second studio album Palo Santo, and believe us when we say it’s one that’ll be on your summer playlist for weeks to come.
The British electro-pop trio’s new tune ‘If You’re Over Me’ is an infectiously perky song about the pitfalls of trying to stay on good terms with a former partner – something we all know if easier said than done.
“This is a song about trying to stay friends with an ex,” explains frontman Olly Alexander.
“Spoiler alert – it doesn’t often work.In fact, in my experience, the relationship often ends up ruined. ‘If You’re Over Me’ is about the emotional torture that ensues – meeting up and making out, then breaking up all over again, then making out some more.”
‘If You’re Over Me’ is the second cut to be lifted from Years & Years sophomore album Palo Santo, which is set for release on 6 July and will serve as the follow-up to 2015’s chart-topping Communion.
