Wentworth Miller will return for Prison Break comeback
Six years after taking a Prison Break, Fox confirmed last week Wentworth Miller will star in 10 episode mini-series return of the popular US series is on the cards.
Last month Attitude aired speculation the out gay Legends of Tomorrow actor was involved in “conversations” with network executives about the possibility of a short run series in the same vein as last year’s 24 one-off 24: Live Another Day.
The Fox network has announced Miller will reprise his role alongside co-star Dominic Purcell as brothers Michael Schofield and Lincoln Burrows in the special event series, set as a sequel and picking up where things ended after the fourth series.

The 43-year-old star publicly came out in 2013 through a letter declining an invitation to a Russian film festival, based on the country’s anti-gay laws.
“I feel more fully expressed. After Prison Break, I came to grips with the fact that my public persona was in misalignment with how I actually felt,” said Miller during an interview with Details.
“I was out to a handful of people in my twenties, and once I hit 30, I was out to family and friends. But professionally, I was feeding a fantasy. I created this air of “we don’t address that thing.”
Contact Music reported that Fox boss Gary Newman confirmed the development of the project after series creator Paul Sheuring pitched a follow up story to bring back the hit show.
“Paul is busy writing the first episode. And once we have those written materials, I feel confident we’re going to be going straight to series on that one,” he said.
Fox boss Dana Walden added some of the other iconic Prison Break characters would be returning but remained tight-lipped. “Not sure Paul knows exactly where he’s going over the 10 episode arc, but will definitely address some questions that were set up at the end of the series,” she said.
