Watch | Troye Sivan performs ‘Youth’ for Ellen’s birthday

By Troy Nankervis

He’s certainly making the media rounds this week, but we figure there’s nothing wrong with a little bit more of Troye Sivan in our lives.

After speaking with veteran journalist Larry King earlier in the week, the 20-year-old has performed ‘Youth’ for The Ellen Show, as DeGeneres celebrated turning 58 years young.

“Happy birthday to me, because I love him so much,” said DeGeneres in her introduction.

Channelling her inner Oprah, DeGeneres sent he entire audience home each with a copy of Sivan’s debut album Blue Neighbourhood.

This was a wonderful birthday present. @TroyeSivan #TroyeOnEllen

After his performance, Sivan told his 3.39 million fans on Twitter he wanted to etch his appearance deep into his memory. “Just drove past the Hollywood sign at sunset after performing on The Ellen Show,” he tweeted.

“Please never let me forget this moment.”
