The first official trailer for American Horror Story: Apocalypse has been released.

Just hours after series creator Ryan Murphy released the teaser trailer for the upcoming Murder House and Coven crossover, the official trailer was dropped and it looks like everything we have been hoping for.

The trailer opens up with an ominous voiceover saying: “No need for the news anymore, the chaos has won”.

This is followed by hundreds of people running away in the typical apocalyptic form and we then get a first glimpse of Billy Eichner and Leslie Grossman’s characters.

Grossman’s character gets on board a plane alongside AHS regulars Billie Lourde, Evan Peters and newcomer Dame Joan Collins.

The trailer introduces us to Kathy Bates’ new character who appears to be working alongside Sarah Paulson’s character Venable who manages a safe house following the nuclear devastation.

The rest of the trailer includes callbacks to the 2011 Murder House and 2013 Coven including the rubber man villain and the return of the witches coven including Cordelia (Paulson), Misty Day (Lily Rabe) and the iconic Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts).

At the end of the trailer we finally see the Anti-Christ aka Michael Langdon – played by newcomer Cody Fern – who asks Bates “What do you think?” to which she replies “Hail Satan”.

This trailer gives us all sorts of feels and we cannot wait for the series to finally start on September 12.
