Veronica Green teams up with Myleene Klass on drama-filled new single ‘Nothing to Lose’
The Drag Race UK favourite and Hear'Say legend is a match made in musical heaven.

Veronica Green has released her brand new single ‘Nothing to Lose’, which sees the Drag Race UK favourite team up none other than classical musician, TV personality and former Hear’Say star Myleene Klass.
VG’s dramatic new single is a bold musical theatre-styled ballad which sees the queen declare “Cause baby I ain’t got nothing to prove, and nothing to lose” – perhaps something of a mission statement as the queen prepares to return to the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK workroom for series three, which arrives on BBC iPlayer next Thursday (23 September).
Klass, who shot to fame on ITV series Popstars in 2001 and later released two classical solo albums – 2003’s Moving On and 2007’s Music for Romance – plays harp and piano on the track, which was penned by Strictly Come Dancing music producer Ian Masterson, alongside Hayley Sanderson.
‘Nothing to Lose’ doesn’t mark the first time Veronica and Myleene have worked together: Back in May, Klass appeared on stage with the Lancashire drag star in the West End show Drag Queens of Pop at the Vaudeville Theatre to provide piano backing during a performance.

Of the pair’s latest collaboration, Klass says: “As soon as I heard this song I knew I had to be on it! Veronica’s vocals are stunning, and I love the production of the track. It’s bold and dramatic and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
The ‘Pure and Simple’ singer also shared a video to Instagram of herself laying down piano and harp backing for ‘Nothing to Lose’, writing “Ready for the DRAMA?”

Veronica Green, who was forced to pull out of Drag Race UK series two during filming last year after testing positive for coronavirus, will return to the workroom for a second shot at the crown in series three.
The renowned singer and musical theatre performer, who appeared on BBC One singing competition All Together Now prior to making her Drag Race UK debut, released her debut single ‘Stars’ back in March, racking up 40,000 streams in the process.
