A fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer has turned the cult series into a cartoon.

In a new YouTube video, fan Stephen Byrne reimagines the show’s familiar opening titles in cartoon form – watch it below.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer ran for seven seasons from 1997 to 2003 on US networks The WB and UPN, and retains a large cult fanbase to this day.

An animated version was proposed by the show’s creator Joss Whedon in 2002, but never made it into production.

Anthony Head, who played Giles on the show,  opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy, recently spoke about a possible spin-off series focusing on his character – read what he had to say here.
