The Rocky Horror Picture Show star Susan Sarandon has seemingly come out as bisexual in a new interview.

The 75-year-old actor was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to speak about her appearance in the Fox musical drama series, Monarch.

Sarandon joined Fallon on the couch to chat about playing the villain in DC’s Blue Beetle, the iconic letterman jacket she’s worn since 1995 and the loss of her beloved dogs.

“My little creatures all passed away. I can’t talk about it because I still get upset,” she explained.

She continued: “I was feeling sad and I said, ‘I can’t get another dog. I just can’t,’ and [one of my sons] said, ‘Well, get cats.'”

Here, Sarandon makes the declaration “I’m bi, so…” before being interrupted by Fallow who clarifies if she’s talking about her love for dogs and cats.

“I’m fluid. I’m very fluid when animals are concerned,” the actor answers. “I’ve had cats before, then I had dogs, and now I have cats.”

She giggles before continuing with her story, but many fans online were ecstatic at Sarandon’s revelation.

The moment feels reminiscent of the Schitt’s Creek scene where Dan Levy’s David comes out to a friend, explaining that he drinks both red wine, white wine, and occasionally a rosé. Swap wine for cats and dogs and Sarandon’s metaphoric statement holds up.

The actress has long been a vocal activist for LGBTQ+ rights and, in 2017, she noted that her sexual orientation was “open” and “up for grabs” in an interview with PrideSource.

The Thelma & Louise star was previously married to actor Chris Sarandon for twelve years and later dated actor-director Tim Robbins.

Upon Sarandon’s announcement, fans took to twitter to share their joy.

One fan tweeted: “waking up to susan sarandon saying she’s bi with her whole chest we never f***ing lose”.

Another wrote: “paused everything to record this scene i literally just saw before seeing that susan sarandon said she’s bi on the tonight show…gay rights”.

“susan sarandon gatekeeping cats from straight people she’s so real,” another tweet reads.
