Spice Girls set to star in their own animated superhero movie
And it's all about girl power
It seems like we’re finally getting a Spice Girls reunion, but not the way you’d expect.
According to Variety, the girl group are set to feature in a new animated superhero film starring themselves, which is currently being shopped to potential production partners.
All five band members have agreed to their likeness being used. Each character will be voiced by a Spice Girl and will have their own ‘girl power’ unique to the group member that reflects their personality.
A source told Variety that the girls are committed and “fired up about the idea”.
“The Spice Girls are thinking big in terms of a franchise on a global scale. They’re the most successful girl group on the planet. It’s just what Marvel or Disney needs.”
The news comes after the group reunited for an Instagram post earlier this year where they confirmed they’re working on “new opportunities”.
Meanwhile, Mel B hinted that the Spice Girls may perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding this year.
