Sense8’s Brian J. Smith and Miguel Ángel Silveste make out at Sao Paulo Pride

By Samuel McManus

The cast of Sense8 took to the streets of Brazil on a float for Sunday’s (May 29) Sao Paulo Pride, and fans of the Netflix original series got more than just a few waves from the show’s stars.

During the world’s biggest gay pride event, Brian J. Smith (Will Gorski), and Miguel Ángel Silveste (Lito Rodriguez) struggled to keep their hands to themselves and – luckily for us – it was all caught on film.

It wasn’t just Brian and Miguel who had all the fun, however: Sense8’s Pride float saw various members of the cast and crew lock lips as they celebrated equality in the Brazilian city. The sci-fi series has won acclaim for its wide-ranging depictions of gender and sexuality, which at one point snowballed into a particularly memorable globe-spanning bisexual orgy scene.

The cast’s appearance comes just days after Lilly Wachowski announced she would not be returning to produce season 2 of the show, leaving her sister Lana Wachowski to produce alone.

The 48-year-old Matrix director came out as transgender in March after being doorstepped by the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, if you’d like to see more of Miguel Ángel Silveste (and why wouldn’t you?) check out our picture special here.
