See ‘Looking’ as comic with cartoon Tovey, Groff

By Nick Levine

Looking

has been reimagined as a cell from an Archie comic book by Archie artist Dan Parent.

The image, which Russell Tovey shared on his Instagram, captures the love triangle between Tovey’s character Kevin, Jonathan Groff’s Patrick and Raul Castillo’s Richie.

Meanwhile, Archie’s gay friend Kevin Keller looks on and wonders: “Why can’t he just decide?”

In February US network HBO renewed Looking for a second season and upgraded Tovey and Castillo to “series regulars” alongside the show’s three leads Groff, Murray Bartlett (Dom) and Frankie J. Alvarez (Agustin).

Lauren Weedma, who plays Doris, has also been made a series regular. The second season will begin filming later this year (2014), once again in and around San Francisco and the Bay Area.
