Sam Smith left in tears after arena is lit up in rainbow Pride colours

The 'Too Good at Goodbyes' singer was left emotional after the touching display at Glasgow's SSE Hydro arena.

Sam Smith was left feeling “emotional” after an arena he was performing at was lit up in rainbow colours.

The ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ singer performed at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena as part of his ‘Thrill of It All Tour’ last Friday (March 23) and the Scottish venue was lit up in rainbow colours after the show.

Smith, 25, rushed to Twitter after the gigto show his appreciation of the beautiful sight. 

Sharing a snap of the stadium, Smith wrote: “I can’t believe the SS Hydro did this! Has made me so emotional”. 

He added on Instagram: “This has me in tears 😭 GLASGOW – THERE ARE NO WORDS!! That blew my mind”

Fans were also impressed, tweeting their appreciation of the colourful display.

One user wrote: “You deserve the world & more!! Glasgow loves you… please never leave. Amazing.” 

Another said: “That is such a tribute to you Sam & all you stand for! I believe more & more each day people are finally realising that love is love!” 

A third fan wrote: “We held up our pride flag during HIM & Stay with me! Did you see it?” 

Sam is set to play shows in Manchester, Dublin, Birmingham and London over the next two weeks, before taking his mammoth ‘The Thrill of It All Tour’ to Europe, the Americas, Asia and Austrlia over the rest of the year.
