Sam Smith leads this year’s Grammy nominations

Sam SmithSam Smith has secured the most nominations for the 2015 Grammy Awards.

The openly gay singer – who released his debut album In The Lonely Hour earlier this year – has achieved a massive six nominations, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for his UK Number One smash Stay With Me.

Meanwhile, US comedian Joan Rivers has scored a posthumous nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for her book Diary of a Mad Diva.
