Russell Tovey’s sitcom ‘The Job Lot’ casts Keith Duffy

Boyzone’s Keith Duffy has joined the cast of Russell Tovey’s The Job Lot.

The sitcom – which also stars Sarah Hadland – will move to ITV2 for its second series this autumn.

The series in a job centre in the fictitious town of Bramall, in the West Midlands, and features Tovey and Hadland as employees Trish and Karl.

Duffy will star as a telephone engineer with a “roving eye”, while Casualty‘s Laura Aikman will appear in the new episodes as Natalie, the centre’s new Deputy Manager.

Meera Syal will guest star as the CEO of a Midlands-based hot tub company, and Waterloo Road‘s Mark Benton will appear as a job centre advisor.

Elaine Bedell, ITV’s Director of Comedy & Entertainment, said of the new series: “It’s great to welcome back the brilliantly beleaguered workers and job seekers of the Brownall Job Centre – and this time round with some excellent guest stars, who’ll be joining our regular ensemble comedy cast.”
