Rihanna to perform at the BRIT Awards later this month

By Troy Nankervis

Global pop superstar Rihanna is performing at the BRIT Awards 2016, joining artists including Adele and Justin Bieber on stage in London later this month.

Last week we got to set our eardrums upon Rihanna’s first track ‘Work’ from her eighth studio album Anti, now sitting at the top of the charts in 90 countries.

As the follow-up to her 2012 release Unapologetic, Anti has already gone platinum in the UK, and has hit the number one spot on iTunes in 30 countries.

With six BRIT Award nominations, and two Brit Award wins for International Female Solo Artist, Rihanna’s performance at this year’s BRITs is bound to be nothing short of spectacular.

This will be the 27 year -old’s fourth BRIT Awards performance. In 2008 she performed ‘Umbrella’ with The Klaxons, at the 2011 ceremony viewers were treated to a medley of ‘Only Girl in The World’, ‘S&M’ and ‘What’s My Name’, and 2012 saw Rihanna’s stunning rendition of ‘We Found Love’.

Rihanna is to also embark on a brand new UK stadium tour in June.

Last month, it was also confirmed Adele, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Jess Glynne, James Bay, The Weeknd and Little Mix are to perform at the ceremony.

The BRIT Awards 2016 will be held on Wednesday 24th February 2016 at London’s O2 Arena and will be broadcast live on ITV.
