Richard Madden says he went through hell to hide his bulge in ‘Cinderella’

By Josh Haggis

Richard Madden has claimed that Disney didn’t want his character in Cinderella to have a visible bulge.

Madden, who plays Prince Charming in the 2015 live-action remake of the Disney fairytale, has admitted that he had to “try on a lot of jockstraps” in order to find one that managed to hide his package sufficiently.

“The prince can’t have any genitalia, apparently,” said Madden during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “We had to test things out. We had about two days of screen tests where we had to try lots of different jock straps, just to make sure we can’t see anything through the trousers.”

“You have these actresses complaining about tight corsets. Let me tell you something, it’s nothing to what the boys go through,” he added.

Despite all that, in an interview with Attitude this week, Madden still said he felt “so exposed” in his super-tight costume.
