Olly Alexander reveals he’s having ‘much less sex’ than he used to

The Years and Years frontman opened up about his love life in a new interview

Years and Years’ Olly Alexander has revealed he’s not “having as much sex” as he used to.

The 27-year-old singer opened up about his love life in a new interview following his 2016 split from a previous boyfriend.

Speaking to The Guardian, Alexander revealed he’s been having trouble finding love and was unsuccessful when trying gay dating apps.

He said: “I’m having much less sex than I did in my early 20s, for sure.”

The ‘Communion’ singer opened up about meeting men when he was younger, saying: “I figured out that I could pull, basically. It wasn’t hard as I thought it was going to be. I realised that, actually, everyone’s pretty horny, pretty desperate at times, and all you needed to do was maintain eye contact and be confident and that was kind of it.”

Following his 2016 break up with another man, Alexander attempted to use gay dating apps such as Grindr but admitted he’s unsuccessful because everyone thought he was catfishing them, leading him to worry he’ll be alone forever.

“The last few months I’ve been wondering, ‘Will I just be alone forever? And would I be OK with that?’ I want to be Ok with that.”

Meanwhile, Alexander revealed that the group’s latest single ‘Sanctify’ was based on his own sexual encounters with straight men.
