Noah Centineo has been cast to play He-Man in the upcoming movie reboot.

Earlier this year, it was reported that the 1980s classic cartoon series was set to have a movie reboot – Dolph Lundgren first played the ripped hero and his alter-ego Prince Adam in the 1987 camp live-action move.

But now it seems Hollywood has found their new He-Man in the form of 22-year-old Perfect Date star Noah Centineo.

While speaking to Jimmy Fallon, Centineo said he is very excited to be cast as the semi-naked hero and said it was a “quite an opportunity”.

Fans of the hit 1980s cartoon series will know that He-Man was known for being ripped as hell and wearing barely anything but his underwear.

But is Centineo worried about taking on a role with very limited costume? Unlikely as he recently joined Shawn Mendes as the new face of Calvin Klein underwear – something we are not complaining about.

He joked: “I have an affinity for being in my underwear.”

Not much else is known about the upcoming Masters of the Universe reboot including who will be playing He-Man’s archnemesis Skeletor.
