Lock up your husbands, because Jill Tyrell is back to terrorise the world once more.

Yep, after years of being mysteriously absent from streaming platforms, iconic series Nighty Night is finally available to watch on BBC iPlayer – and you better tune in, otherwise it just gets nasty…

The acclaimed jet-black comedy, which aired for two short but unforgettable series between 2004-05, gave TV one its most appalling creations ever in Jill Tyrell (Julia Davis), the beauty therapist from hell who sees her husband’s cancer diagnosis as an opportunity to move on with her life – something which mainly involves hitting on her disabled neighbour’s partner (it only gets worse, trust us).

Co-starring a pre-Gavin and Stacey fame Ruth Jones and Sherlock‘s Mark Gatiss, the eminently quote-able Nighty Night has rightfully earned its place as cult camp classic over the years, while creator Julia Davis has gone on BAFTA Award-winning success with Sky Atlantic’s equally inspired and cringe-inducing Sally4Ever.

While Davis has long resisted calls for a third series, with all 12 episodes of Nighty Night on iPlayer, it’s safe to say we’ll be reliving the horror over and over and over again. Hiya Cath!
