Mr. Robot’s Rami Maley to star as Freddie Mercury in Queen biopic

Rami Malek will be ditching the computers and grabbing a microphone in a new biopic about Queen.

The Emmy winning actor is set to star as Freddie Mercury in the biographical film entitled Bohemian Rhapsody.

The film had previously been in development with Sacha Baron Cohen until he dropped out and left the film in limbo.

However reports suggest that X-Men director Bryan Singer is in talks to direct the film with Malek portraying the famous Queen frontman.

The legendary musician died in 1991 from AIDS complications at the age of 45.

His legacy lives on however as he wrote and composed a number of hits for Queen including ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Killer Queen’, ‘Somebody To Love’, ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ and ‘We Are The Champions’.
