Marvel’s Sebastian Stan thinks a gay Captain America is ‘great’

By Attitude Magazine

The debate over Captain America’s love life

has been going on for months. A same-sex relationship that, if officially screened, would make Steve and Bucky the first gay couple ever in Marvel’s history. And the jury has voted. Well, Bucky has voted.

Sebastian Stan, who plays Captain America’s best-friend Bucky in the hit films, has spoken to GQ on the matter.

He said, “Look, man, I think it’s great. Movies are for people to relate to in whatever way they want.”

Though the Winter Soldier star said he hasn’t thought of his character in that way, “If someone takes the time to think about that, that’s great. I don’t think of the character that way, though. But there’s no right or wrong answer.

“No one here is ever going to point a finger and say what’s right and wrong. For me, it’s like, Awww. It’s cute, it’s great,” he adds.

But when asked if there was anything ‘official’ with the next Captain America sequel, Stan said, “There will be, I just don’t know when.”

“The best way to describe it is that you just get a phone call one day that’s like, ‘You’re going to report to set,’ and off you go.”

Sadly it seems that if we do get a Bucky and Steve romance, we might need to wait a while.

#GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend has been trending worldwide over the last few months and looks like it won’t be slowing down anytime soon.

Come on Steve and Bucky, bring on the romance!
