Manchester Pride have announced the first wave of acts who’ll be performing at the Big Weekend later this year (August 22-25).

Recently reformed 90’s girl group All Saints and international pop star Anastacia have been confirmed as the event’s headline acts, with both due to perform at the Big Weekend’s Main Arena over the course of the bank holiday.

Also performing as part of the line-up are rising pop star Foxes, former X Factor contestant Misha B, ex-Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Grammy-nominated singer and producer MNEK.

All Saints’ set will be their only UK pride performance this year. The Never Ever girl group scored nine UK Top Ten hits between 1998 and 2006 – including 5 UK Number Ones – and wrapped up a comeback tour with the Backstreet Boys back in March.

Anastacia’s career has spanned almost fifteen years and has included a string of hits such as I’m Outta LoveLeft Outside Alone, and One Day in Your Life.

The 45-year-old battle breast cancer for the second time last year and saw comeback album Resurrection hit the top 10 on the Official UK Album Chart last month (May).

During an interview with attitude.co.uk earlier this year, the singer talked about her support for gay rights, telling us: “I’m all for gay rights in every way and I’m so very happy to see so many positive things happening.”

Manchester Pride is set to announce more acts over the coming weeks, who’ll be performing at the Main Arena, Sackville Gardens and the Dance Area.

Tickets for the Big Weekend are available now on 0843 208 1844. Weekend tickets are priced at £22, while day tickets are also on sale starting at £12.50.

The free parade  march is due to set off at 1pm on Saturday August 23 and will run from Liverpool Road to the end of Whitworth Street – right by Manchester’s gay village.
