‘Magic Mike XXL’ cast talk seeing each other naked on set

The Magic Mike XXL boys have discussed seeing each other naked on set, putting to bed any lingering doubts that making a movie about male strippers can’t be as fun as it sounds.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Channing Tatum, Adam Rodriguez, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Kevin Nash were asked whether it was easier to film the sequel as they’re now used to seeing each other naked.
Rodriguez replied: “Definitely. Yeah, definitely easier. We got that out of the way early on in the first one and I think this time we are actually looking forward to seeing each other naked.”
Bomer added there were “no boundaries left” between the guys, joking: “I can’t even smell the smell of self tanner anymore…”
While a bit of communal nudity clearly doesn’t faze the boys, the did bemoan the strict diet they had to adhere to in order to get in shape for their scantily-clad roles.
After Nash joked that “the lack of wine,” was the hardest part of filming, Tatum added: “Have you ever seen that Snickers commercial where basically there’s one person and he’s cranky?
“You would always known who was about to carb out as we haven’t had a carb, as they’re just starting to get pissy and start moaning a lot.”
Set three years after the first film, Magic Mike XXL finds the boys preparing to bow out of the erotic dancing game with one last “blow-out performance”.
Channing Tatum, Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer and Gabriel Iglesias have all returned for the sequal, alongside series newcomers Elizabeth Banks, Donald Glover, Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Andie MacDowell and Michael Strahan.

Magic Mike XXL opens on July 1 in the US and July 3 in the UK.
