Madonna turns Britney’s ‘Toxic’ into an eerie anti-Trump anthem – WATCH

By Will Stroude

Madonna hasn’t been shy when it comes to making her feelings about US President-elect Donald Trump known, and now it seems the Queen of Pop’s political streak is working its way back into her musical performances.

During an an auction and concert hosted by the singer for her charity Raising Malawi at Miami’s Art Basel on Friday night (December 2), Madge added some unlikely Britney Spears-inspired Trump-bashing into the mix, with eerily powerful results.

Dressed in a clown costume similar to that from her one-off ‘Tears of a Clown’ performance in Australia earlier this year, the 58-year-old performed Brit’s 2003 classic ‘Toxic’ as images of Trump flickered on a screen behind, along with some of his more poisonous quotes.

Madonna’s ‘Night of Art, Mischief & Music’ also saw the singer raise money for Raising Malawi by auctioning off memorabilia and art from her private collection.

In total, a reported $7.5 million was raised for the charity, which the singer founded in 2006 to help support orphans in Malawi, where her adopted son David Banda was born.
