Madonna has been excused from jury duty after providing a doctor’s note.
The Queen of Pop was due to sit on a jury at the Manhattan Supreme Court in New York on Tuesday (May 27), but after providing a sick note, her appearance has been rescheduled, reports New York Daily News. #unapologeticbitch
New York’s County Clerk told the publication that his office will now come up with a new date for the 55-year-old to participate. She previously took part in jury duty in Beverly Hills, California in 2008, but was dismissed by the court after around four hours.
Meanwhile, the ever-provocative singer has just teamed up with Katy Perry for a joint photo shoot – and appeared to tease new music over the weekend when she posted what looked like cover art for a single or album called Unapologetic Bitch on her Instagram.
Madonna’s last studio album, MDNA, was released in 2012 and reached number one in the US and UK. She scored her 13th and most recent UK chart-topping single with 4 Minutes in 2008.
William Orbit, one of the producers Madonna worked with on MDNA, recently unveiled some unreleased mixes and demos from the sessions – click here for further details.
