Season three of Hulu’s beloved Love, Victor – a Love, Simon spinoff – has plenty of questions to answer in its final season that will arrive next month.

Love, Victor season two ended on a heartwrenching cliffhanger where Victor’s (Michael Cimino) heart was torn between two young men.

However, from the looks of the trailer that dropped on Friday (20 May), this love triangle will only be one of the big decisions he has to come to terms with before graduation in the 8-episode finale (slightly shorter than the previous 10-ep seasons).

The trailer gives some hints of what’s to come, the big reveal (potential spoiler incoming!) being that Victor ran to Benji (George Sear) instead of Rahim (Anthony Keyvan) in the season two finale.

However, it’s not as simple as it appears. Victor’s lingering feelings for Rahim seem to complicate the good thing he has going with Benji and with the mounting pressure of graduating looming, Victor must decide on the direction to take his life.

Elsewhere, the plotlines of Victor’s fellow high schoolers will encounter their own challenges as Lake (Bebe Wood) continues to explore their sexuality and the season-arching will-they-won’t-they relationship of Felix (Anthony Turpel) and Pilar (Isabella Ferreira) will hopefully reach an outcome.

There’s also a comeback for Ava Capri as Lucy, Lake’s love interest, who bolsters the main cast for the upcoming season.

From American Horror Story fame, Nico Greetham will join the cast as Nick, a new friend (and potential love interest by his smirk in the trailer) Vicot meets at church.

“This season finds Victor going on a journey of self-discovery – not only deciding who he wants to be with, but more broadly, who he wants to be,” Love, Victor’s season 3 synopsis reads.

In the trailer, Victor seems to be onstage in a dapper suit as he declares: “Being brave means you aren’t afraid to be scared because a lot of times the scariest things are also the most important, like admitting who you love and who you are.”

We can only hope Victor finds his own courage as Love, Victor reaches its finale.

Love, Victor season 3 premieres with all eight episodes on Hulu and Disney+ on 15 June.
