Lady Gaga confirms engagement to Christian Carino

Lady Gaga has confirmed that she’s engaged to Christian Carino.
The A Star Is Born actress, 32, referred to her partner of more than a year as her “fiancé” during an emotional speech at Elle magazine’s Women In Hollywood Awards in LA on Monday night (14 October).
Gaga first sparked rumours she was engaged to Carino 48, at the end of last year after she began wearing a large diamond ring on her wedding ring finger.
The ‘Born This Way’ singer first began dating the Hollywood agent – who represents the likes of Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles and Simon Cowell – in 2017, but the pair have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight.
The low-key announcement came as Gaga delivered an impassioned speech at the Women In Hollywood Award, where she opened up about being sexually assaulted at the age of 19 by an figure within the entertainment industry, the Daily Mail reports.
Gaga, who wore an oversized taupe suit to the event, explained that she had forgone a dress for the event to challenge the notion that women are “members of a giant beauty pageant meant to be pit against one another for the pleasure of the public.”
The star told the audience: “As a sexual assault survivor by someone in the entertainment industry, as a woman who is still not brave enough to say his name, as a woman who lives with chronic pain, as a woman who was conditioned at a very young age to listen to what men told me to do, I decided today I wanted to take the power back.
“Today I wear the pants.”
