By Nick Levine

Kylie Minogue brought the Commonwealth Games 2014 to an end in Glasgow tonight (August 3) with a seven-song set during the Closing Ceremony at Hampden Park.

Screen Shot 2014-08-03 at 22.30.49The Aussie pop diva performed Spinning Around, Into the Blue, Love At First Sight, All the Lovers, The Locomotion, Beautiful and Can’t Get You Out of My Head – and found time for a mid-set costume change.

Earlier on, Glasgow native Lulu had kicked off the Closing Ceremony with her signature hit Shout, which she performed in a distinctive pair of tartan trousers, before Scottish bands Deacon Blue and Prides performed for the crowd.

Another Australian pop singer, Jessica Mauboy, also took to the stage to whet appetites for the Commonwealth Games 2018, which will take place in Gold Coast City, Australia.

The final song of the Closing Ceremony was an ensemble rendition of Auld Lang Syne featuring Lulu, Kylie and many of the other performers from the evening – backed, of course, by bagpipes.

The Commonwealth Games 2014 brought gold medals for Attitude‘s current cover star, Tom Daley, as well as our recent cover stars, Greg Rutherford and Louis Smith. Divers Jack Laugher and Chris Mears, who placed high in the recent Attitude HOT 100 poll, also came away with gold medals.
