John Travolta finally explains ‘Adele Dazeem’ gaffe, blames ‘sexy’ Goldie Hawn

By Attitude Magazine

John Travolta finally offered an excuse for his infamous 2014 Oscars flub when he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Oscar show today. Apparently, Goldie Hawn is to blame.

The acting legend discussed his mix- up at last year’s Oscars, in which he introduced Broadway and Frozen star Idina Menzel as ‘Adele Dazeem,’ and how she got her own back at this year’s ceremony by introducing him as ‘her dear friend Glom Gazingo’.

Travolta explained that while waiting backstage last year, he lost track of time as an assistant who was meant to give him a 15-minute warning got stuck on a lift. Then, with only a minute before he was due on stage, he ran into old friend Goldie Hawn.

“Goldie is charismatic, sexy, beautiful… I was starstruck, hugging and loving her up. Then they said, ‘You’re on’.”

Rushed onto the stage, Travolta said he was still in a post-Goldie daze when he had to pronounce Idina’s name.
