Jennifer Saunders: ‘I’ve finished first draft of Ab Fab movie’

Jennifer Saunders has revealed that she has finished the first draft of the Absolutely Fabulous movie script.

The actress told The Mirror that she is “feeling euphoric” after completing the script, and plans to film the movie by the end of 2015.

She said: “I’ve finished the first draft. I’m feeling euphoric.

“My proper New Year’s resolution is to do the film, otherwise it’ll be a pointless year of procrastination.”

Saunders has played Edina in the BBC comedy series since it launched in 1992, while Joanna Lumley also stars as Patsy.

The film will reportedly be titled Edina & Patsy, and is being scheduled for release this year.

Absolutely Fabulous most recently returned for three specials to mark its 20th anniversary in 2012.
