Jared Leto sent anal beads and used condoms to his Suicide Squad co-stars
We know Jared Leto takes his acting roles seriously, but as the Joker would say, “Why so serious?”
E! Online caught up with the stars of Suicide Squad and revealed that Leto, who’s set to play the Joker in the upcoming film, sent fellow cast members gifts inspired by his character.
While promoting the film at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Leto explained why he sent the gifts.
“I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there.” He adds that, “The Joker is somebody who doesn’t really respect things like personal space or boundaries.”
Will Smith said that Leto had gone “full Joker” and added that, “He really set the tone.”
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays Killer Croc, says he received “sticky Playboy magazines” from Leto and explains how the gifts really took a turn when the cast members received a dead pig.
“That was a good gift because it had the effect of unifying us as a group because then it became us against him. We sent the messenger back with the dead pig and our own personalised message. It got the ball rolling.”
Alongside the pig, Leto had also sent a live rat to Margot Robbie and a set of bullets to Will Smith as well as used condoms and anal beads.
