Janet Jackson pregnant with first child at 49

By Fabio Crispim

Janet Jackson is expecting her first child, according to reports today.

The claim on American TV show Entertainment Tonig comes after the musical icon took to Twitter last month to share a video of her explaining her decision to postpone her tour in order to start a family with her husband, Wissam Al Mana.

“My husband and I are planning our family,” she explained, “so I’m gonna have to delay the tour.”

The 49-year-old asked her fans to understand her decision but promises to continue the tour as soon as she can.

“Please if you can try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”

Now it appears confirmed that Jackson is pregnant with her first child, just weeks before her 50th birthday (May 16) later this month.

As the news broke, Jackson also unveiled the video for her appropriately-titled track ‘Dammn Baby’ on Twitter.

The singer’s ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ has suffered from some problems when all European dates for March, April and May 2016 were suddenly delayed.

The youngest of the Jackson clan, Janet was forced to deny rumours about her health in January after she called a halt to her tour, leaving many fans disappointed.

Even with all of this going on, Janet is quick to remind her fans that she misses and loves them.

Congratulations Janet!
