A new children’s TV show on Hulu will be one of the first to feature a same-sex couple as main characters.

The Bravest Knight is based on Daniel Errico’s children’s book, ‘The Bravest Knight Who Ever Lived’, and follows Sir Cedric – voiced by T.R. Knight – and his husband Prince Andrew (Wilson Cruz) and their adopted daughter Nia (Storm Reid) and her troll friend Grunt (Bobby Moynihan).

Following Sir Cedric who recounts his journey to his daughter, we see the openly gay character go from pumpkin farmer to a knight and marrying the prince of his dreams.

The new children’s animation – which is set to air on Hulu for US audiences in June – also features the voices of RuPaul, Teri Polo, Steven Weber, Donna Murphy, AJ McLean, Dot-Marie Jones, Maz Jobrani, Chance Hurstfield and others.
