Harry Styles to bring his own story of fame to the small screen

The One Direction star is to executive produce the new CBS programme

By Steve Brown

Harry Styles will be adding executive producer to his list of talents after agreeing to work on a new TV show based around his early days of fame.

The new CBS programme Happy Together is about a young pop star (Felix Mallard) who moves in with a married couple (Damon Wayans Jr and Amber Stevens West) in their home, according to PEOPLE.

The premise of the show is based around the One Direction star who was also forced to live in a producer’s attic not long after hitting fame on The X Factor.

Harry lived in award-winning producer Ben Winston’s home after the house he wanted to move into wasn’t ready, Rolling Stone said.

He agreed to live with the producer and his wife Meredith for just a few weeks but he stayed there for 20 months.

Ben said: “Those 20 months were when they went from being on a reality show, X Factor, to being the biggest-selling artists in the world.

“That period of time, he was living with us in the most mundane suburban situation. No one every found out, really.

“Even when we went out for a meal, it’s such a sweet family neighbourhood, no one dreamed it was actually him.

“But he made our house a home. And when he moved out, we were gutted.”

Harry – who also had a cameo in Christopher Nolan’s hit Dunkirk – could also be playing an integral part in the show.

The show’s star Amber said: “This is his story, and even though we’re not telling it exactly as it happened, people are going to ask questions, like, ‘Did this really happen to you?’

“So he’s going to care about the stories that we’re telling. I think he’s going to have a pretty strong presence as a producer.”
