Warning: Spoilers follow for the final episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World.

Fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World have been celebrating Blu Hydrangea for a “well deserved” win at the end of the first-ever international Drag Race series.

The Belfast queen was crowned Queen of the World after facing off against US queen Mo Heart in a lip-sync smackdown for the title.

Posting on social media after the episode aired on Tuesday (8 March) said: “I have no words… just thank you”

The queen also shared footage of a watch party taking place in Belfast. The crowd can be seen nervously watching before erupting into joyful celebration when Blu’s name is announced.

Drag performer Paisley Parque tweeted Blu saying: “Congrats on your well deserved win!” a sentiment shared by many others online.

Mo Heart, who earlier in the episode last night had defeated Baga Chipz in a lip-sync to Jessie J’s ‘Domino’, said: “Congratulations to My Sister Queen of the World”

In the episode, Ru asked the remaining queens – Blu, Mo, Baga, and Jujubee – to take part in a lip-sync smackdown for the crown. Mo was up first and chose Baga, leaving Blu and Jujubee to fight it out over Duran Duran’s ‘The Reflex’.

With Mo and Blu being named the winners of their li-syncs, they faced off against one another one more time to Kylie Minogue’s ‘Supernova’ with Blu ultimately being named Queen of the World.

RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World is available to watch in full on the BBC iPlayer.
