Eastenders: Ben vows revenge on Paul’s homophobic killers

By Will Stroude

After learning that Paul Coker‘s (Jonny Labey) killers may never be found, Ben Mitchell (Harry Reid) will decide to seek out justice himself, according to Digital Spy.

After initially describing the incident which led to his boyfriend’s death as a random mugging, Ben later revealed that the attack was in fact motivated by homophobia.

The grieving 20-year-old reaches the end of his tether after he can’t formally identify one of the attackers, who is being held by police.

But in a promising turn of events, Ben spots another attacker in a car outside the police station, and friend Johnny Carter (Ted Reilly) takes a photo of the car’s number plate.

However, hope of any justice quickly fades, as the police reveal that they are unable to continue to hold one of the suspects.

Feeling completely let down, Ben makes the decision to get revenge on his own, and warns Johnny about interfering in his plans.

EastEnders airs these scenes on tonight July 26 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
