Craig David isn’t fazed by gay rumours

By Will Stroude

R’n’B crooner Craig David has faced rumours surrounding his sexuality since for years, with chatter resurfacing last year, following an interview with music magazine Noisey, which touched on whispers of his “confused sexuality,” wants to press re-rewind on persistent rumours about his sexuality.

The singer put the rumours to bed in an interview with The Guardian yesterday (October 2), and had a few choice words for straight stars who find being asked about their sexuality offensive.

“I sort of find it weird when people get very ‘No! I’m not gay!’ I mean, are you homophobic in some way?” the 35-year-old ‘Ain’t Giving Up’ singer said. “So I’ve always been relaxed when people are not quite sure.

“But knowing myself, I’m heterosexual and it’s cool.”

The British singer, who appeared on the cover of Attitude Active in 2010, released comeback album Following My Intuition last Friday (September 30).
