Chris Evans is in talks to star as the dentist in Greg Berlanti’s reboot of Little Shops of Horrors.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Avengers star is in talks to star as dentist Orin Scrivello in the new movie adaptation – a role made famous by Steve Martin in the 1987 adaptation which also starred Rick Moranis.

The Captain America star seemingly confirmed the news on Twitter by simply retweeing an article with a tooth emoji.

If Evans lands the part, he will have to perform the hilarious song ‘Dentist’, check out Martin’s version below:

The story follows hapless florist shop worker Seymour who raises a plant, who he names Audrey II, that feeds on human blood and flesh.

Collider report that Scarlett Johansson is circling the female lead of Audrey, the love interest of Seymour, a meek florist poised to be played by Taron Egerton.

Although these are just rumours, Pose star Billy Porter has been confirmed to lend his voice to the flesh eating, alien plant.
