Cher set to return to our screens for new Lifetime TV Movie
Goddess of Pop Cher is set to return to our screens in what might be one of the most important roles of her life. The award winner, who previously appeared in Burlesque and The Witches Of Eastwick, will star in the Lifetime TV film Flint.
The film, set in Flint, Michigan, tells the story about the water contamination crisis that residents in the country are facing.
Cher will play a resident in the town who has a family and is directly impacted by the water which has been poisoned by lead. The film will explore the crisis, politics and poor management that caused the water contamination, which Cher has been vocal about.
The ‘Believe’ singer has donated whopping amounts of clean drinking water to the residents who are affected by the water.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Cher will appear in the film alongside Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and Katie Couric though it is unknown who will be directing the drama. Cher has only made one other TV movie in her career, starring in HBO’s If These Walls Could Talk 21-years-ago which won her a Golden Globe award nomination.
Flint is set for a release in 2018.
