Caitlyn Jenner: ‘Donald Trump is very much behind the LGBT community’

By Fabio Crispim

Caitlyn Jenner has praised Donald Trump in a new interview with STAT.

The republican presidential nominee previously blasted the anti-gay laws in North Carolina before quickly changing his opinion and stating that the states “should decided” their own laws.

He was later slammed for blaming the Orlando pulse attack on immigration.

Regardless of this the former Olympian, who is posing with her Olympic gold medal on the cover of Sports Illustrated, said that Trump is “very much for women.”

“He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue. He backed the LGBT community”.

Even though she claims that Trump ‘backs’ the LGBT community she suggests that Hillary Clinton may be the better choice for LGBT voters because there are some “unknowns” with Trump.

She said, “But in Trump’s case, there’s a lot more unknowns. With Hillary, you pretty much know what you’re gonna get with the LGBT community.

Despite that, she states that she’s on the “conservative Republican side.”

“I’m not excited with what Obama has done to the economy, to our Constitution, all that kind of stuff. but as far as the transgender community, they’ve actually been really good.”

Jenner has been criticised for her political views and back in March she claimed that she isn’t a spokesperson for the transgender community.
