Brits 2016: Justin Bieber forced to flee afterparty as fight breaks out

By Troy Nankervis

He won a Brit Award for Best International Male Artist at London’s O2 Arena last night, but Justin Bieber’s after party celebrations quickly soured as he was forced to leave a nightclub as a fight broke out.

The 21-year-old was reportedly relaxing with singer Ella Eyre and her boyfriend in a roped-off VIP section of London’s Tape nightclub, when a scuffle broke out between partygoers that sent the venue “into chaos”, according to The Mirror.

“A man from his VIP group suddenly launched at someone from outside the group, which was protected by security,” a source said.

“Bieber looked fuming and the whole thing descended into chaos. Everyone was pushing and shoving. The man was dragged inside and everyone was pushed out.

“Security got involved and managed to break it up. Bieber tried to carry on with his night but there was a really tense atmosphere and the club was overcrowded. He then abruptly left out of the back door.”

Earlier in the evening, the ‘Sorry’ singer told fans at the Brits he was “appreciative” for taking home the Best International Artist award.

“This just shows life is a journey. And everybody has their own journey. Everybody has their ups and their downs. I just want to take this moment to thank all my fans.”

Taking in the view of the packed out arena, the singer said he was “shaking a little bit right now”

“I’m just appreciative, that’s all,” he added. “And you guys are awesome. Thankyou.”
