Brendon Urie wants a lead in a West End musical.

The Panic! At The Disco frontman has already had a taste of performing in a musical after he starred in the Broadway production of Kinky Boots but it appears he wants to do more.#

Speaking to the BBC, Urie – who headline Reading and Leeds Fest over the August Bank Holiday weekend – revealed which shows he’d love to star in.

Urie – who came out as pansexual this year – said: “I would love to do the West End, but only if I play an American. I wouldn’t want to butcher their [English] language in front of them.

“My dream is to play Jean Valjean in Les Miserables or to be Elder Price in Book of Mormon.”

Although having performed on stage with the band since 2004, Urie admitted it was a completely different “beast” being part of a stage musical.

“Broadway is a different beast entirely to being in a band. It is the most gruelling schedule. It’s the most exhausted I had ever been,” he added.

“I also didn’t plan ahead enough. We had just done a two-and-a-half month tour and I was like, ‘Screw it, I am going right in to Broadway’. But it was cool – I’d never take it back.”
