Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers paid homage to Heated Rivalry at the 2026 Culture Awards, performing t.A.T.u.’s ‘All the Things She Said’.
Joined on stage by The Hunting Wives stars Britney Snow and Malin Akerman, the comedy foursome brought queer joy to the stage, fully embracing the Heated Rivalry bit.
The performance was included in a comedic opener which saw Rogers reflect on some of the biggest shows of the year.
Matt Rogers said Heated Rivalry is all about “gay sexual tension”
The Hunting Wives and Heated Rivalry are “all about gay sexual tension between the main characters,” said Rogers. Yang responded, “So, why would this show be any different?”
Cue t.A.T.u.’s noughties classic, known to Heated Rivalry viewers for soundtracking the sexually charged nightclub scene between Ilya and Shane, and the Culture Awards hosts were well underway.
Joined by backup dancers dressed in hockey gear, Yang and Rogers launched into an impressive hockey-stick choreography sequence that proved a crowd-pleaser.

Snow and Akerman also made a cameo, singing briefly and staging an exaggerated fake make-out.
Heated Rivalry actor François Arnaud, who plays Scott in the hit gay hockey series, was seated in the audience and looked visibly amused as the camera panned to him.
2026 marked Yang and Rogers’ fifth year presenting the Culture Awards. The event, which spun off from their Las Culturistas podcast, was broadcast on Bravo and Peacock for a second year in a row.
Musical performances throughout the evening included Megan Stalter singing her 2026 song ‘Prettiest Girl in America’ and Rachel Zegler’s take on Addison Rae’s ‘Fame is a Gun’.
